Architecture Sketching Tips

We all know that sketching is a skill that you will constantly have to work on. Whether you are gifted or you've had to learn from point zero, there is always something to add to your repertoire. Here are 3 techniques that you may or may not know...

Technique 1: Don't bend

It can be very easy to bend the joints in your hand, wrist or elbow, this will inevitably make it harder to draw when you are creating large drawings.

Technique 2: Thickness

Pay attention to the lines that you draw. A variation of line thickness can create a more in-depth and accurate representation of the building.

Technique 3: Background

The building will always be the focal point of your drawings. However, you can strengthen the appearance of your building by taking some more time to focus on the surrounding environment. This will also help you when presenting to clients.
